Vegas Baby!

Rob and I are headed to Vegas in December.  It's been a long time since either of us have been and I do miss it so.  What better way to enjoy Vegas but with a whole new ensemble to carry all of my personals in?  And of course it has to be done in Vegas style...

Here is my latest Project:

The Zombies have been finalized and are up on ETSY. They have their own bios, certificates, and personalities. I hope you like them. I know they were fun to create and give character!

Zombies and Bling

These little things are taking shape.  What zombie doesn't want some bling?  Check out the new photos and new designs and let me know what you think...we lovingly call her "Pinky".

New Prototypes

A friend sent me a picture of a zombie doll and asked "can you make this".  So I was on a new quest.  After some doll/plushie/softie/research and several iterations I have a couple of prototypes that  made the final cut. The prototype on the left was practicing the 'zombie' stitches. The right prototype has a different body shape and exposed seams.

Let me know what you think.

ETSY ETSY ETSY

So I opened up my etsy shop in March of 2009.  I researched and followed shops, took notes, bookmarked, signed up for every mailing list I could.  I never felt confident enough to put anything up in my shop.  By the end of 2009...I was divorced after 17 years of marriage, changed jobs, moved into a new place on my "own" and put StudioCalvin via etsy on the back burner.  With a new life, a new career, and a new love interest...etsy didn't seem so feasible OR at least I didn't think so.

So...did you notice the new love interest?  Well when he heard about my aspirations about StudioCalvin...and checked out this blog...then checked out etsy...he was sold.  He said no rest for the wicked.  He was constantly prodding...almost nagging.  He re-did his house and convinced me to move...showing me that not only could I put my stuff on etsy...that he would support me 100%  And so now, for us, there is no turning back.  My etsy shop is alive and growing.  I have a new family, a new life, a new outlook on everything.
